Biography
My name is Mohammad Reza Aram and I am associate professor of Qur’anic Sciences at Islamic Azad University, Central Tehran Branch, and an ex-postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Historical Studies at University of Toronto. My areas of interest include Qur’anic Sceinces and Hadith as well as Interpretation of Qur’an. My hometown is Tehran and am proficient at several languages including conversation and translation of religious texts (Persian, English, Arabic, Turkish and acquainted with Albanian and Bosnian language). I have teaching experiences in Qur’anic sciences, history of Qur’an, interpretation of Qur’an, criticism review of religious texts, Islam and its history, Arabic language: conversation and literature, Hadith, religious ethics, Islam in modern world, tafsir schools of Qur’an, translation of Qur’an, Qur’an and ethics, ethics in public life, Qur’an and globalization, inter-religious dialogue, critical study of Qur’an translations, as well as authoring and translation of 22 books in the areas of Qur’an and Hadith, and authoring of more than 65 articles in academic journals.
